About the ep of the 80s, the show paid tribute to John Hughes by having all the characters have storylines like out from some of his classic 80's movies:
* Everybody forgets Haley's birthday (Sixteen Candles)
* Nate and Clay get lost somewhere nowhere far from home and try to come back for Haley's b-day (Planes, Trains & Automobiles)
* Mouth's friends create Mouth's dream girl like in Weird Science
* Jamie is left Home Alone
* Julian's 80s costume and Brooke tearing apart a dress and making it into another one are from Pretty in Pink
* Alex's costume is Mia Sarah's one in Ferris Bueller movie
Nothing really important in the ep, just Clay telling Nate about his dead wife, and Alex trying to get Julian with Brooke and confessing to Brooke's all designer she is in love with Julian...
