| Thought we might need a Castle thread. - Quote :
- He’s famous. He’s gorgeous. He’s smart as hell. He is mystery novelist Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion), and he’s hot on the trail of real world criminals. ‘Why,’ you ask? Because he’s got nothing better to do.
Bored with his own success, Castle shadows the every move of NYPD detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic). She’s an aggressive detective who keeps her investigations under tight rein, and her feathers are oh-so-ruffled by Castle’s presence (in spite of the fact that she’s secretly a huge fan.) Amid incessant sexual tension and constant close talking, this flirtatiously-charged duo builds on their mixed-up relationship as they look to solve strange homicides in New York. Kids, this is as much fun as one can possibly have with death and murder!
Castle is kept grounded by his Broadway diva mother, Martha Rodgers (Susan Sullivan), and quick-witted teenage daughter Alexis (Molly Quinn). Also starring in the series are Ruben Santiago-Hudson as NYPD captain Roy Montgomery, Tamala Jones as medical examiner Lanie Parish, Jon Huertas as NYPD detective Javier Esposito and Seamus Dever as NYPD detective Kevin Ryan.
Castle is produced by ABC Studios. Andrew Marlowe (creator/writer) serves as Executive producer, along with Rob Bowman (who also directed the Pilot), Rene Echevarria, Laurie Zaks, Armyan Bernstein. | I think she is Rick's agent (and ex-wife) in the pilot. In an ep in the 2nd season (the one when he is offered to take the "british spy" saga), her agent is played by a differnt actress though, and no mention to her being an exwife (change of agent or goof of the show?)

| Ah, right! I guess she was meant to be a recurring character originally. I did like the ep where Alexis' mum came to visit! | |

But one of my favs was the Halloween one, not just Nathan dressed as Mal again (and what his daughter says to him!! lol), I almost faint with the Buffy mention!!

- As I first teased earlier this month, Castle is introducing a new love interest for Beckett (Stana Katic) later this season. Well, I now have the deets on said role…

- Great news for fans of ABC’s “Castle,” as Whedonesque.com breaks the news that ABC wants more of Nathan Fillion and Co. procedural with a twist.
ABC has ordered two more episodes for Castle this season taking the total number of episodes for the second season to 24.
Following a new episode of The Bachelor (11.5 million viewers), Castle drew 10.5 million viewers, improving 11 percent in the 18-to-49 demographic and winning its time slot over The Jay Leno Show (4.3 million viewers) and a CSI: Miami repeat (9.6 million viewers) according to TV Guide.
Castle is scoring in all demos and age ranges.
The third season announcement has yet to be released.

| I've enjoyed Castle when I've seen it. I haven't had a chance to see them all. There's a Castle book out as well. I'm on the waiting list from the library for it. The cast works well. The girl who plays Castle's daughter does a good job, but like with other shows, I wish she looked more like the people who plays her parents. She actually looks years younger than the character's age, or the actress's real age. | |

| Hehe, yep she looks nothing like Nathan or Susan Sullivan, but at least she looks a little like Darby Stanchfield. I like that she looks like a real teenager rather than a 27-year-old actor though. Here's some MQ pics for ep. 2.17 Tick, Tick, Tick part one. The ep. has Nathan's Desperate Housewife in it too. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]nathan-fillion.org | |

| Apparently she's an FBI agent who is working with Castle & Beckett to find a serial killer. It's a two-parter. Sounds like more of a serious ep. | |

- Exclusive: 'Castle' spoofs NBC's Jay/Conan ruckus... and kills [spoiler alert] in the process!
by Michael Ausiello
Heads-up to Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien: Be sure to DVR the April 26 episode of Castle. In a rare ripped-from-the-headlines detour, the hit ABC dramedy is prepping an episode inspired by NBC’s recent late-night kerfuffle — and The Powers That Be are mixing in a cheeky bit of ABC cross-promotion while they’re at it.
Sources confirm to me exclusively that Dancing with the Stars emcee Tom Bergeron has signed on to guest as Bobby Mann, a late-night talk show host who gets permanently shut up by… Well, the prime suspect is his would-be successor, a rival chatterbox (played by Bill Bellamy) who’s long coveted the victim’s timeslot.
In addition to Bergeron and Bellamy, the episode’s eclectic guest cast also boasts TV vet Fred Willard as Bergeron’s sidekick, 3rd Rock From the Sun’s French Stewart as a Pellicano-esque investigator, and The Simpsons‘ Yeardley “Lisa” Smith as a comedy-club owner.
The title of said ep? “The Late Shaft.” [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
